I believe in the exploration of mediums, and have come to truly value the time I spend learning new artistic forms while studying for my undergraduate degree. Particularly, ceramics has become a meditative practice for me, and I find a strong connection to the earth &and materials of our environment while throwing and sculpting.

November 2018

My final project in my introductory wheel-throwing class was to create a set of 6 identical, functional forms. I threw a set of wide, short, narrow-footed stacking plates, and layered a single Satin White coat of glaze under a coat of Cushing Black, to both highlight the grain in the clay itself (Black Mountain) and introduce some bright white natural flecks. All photographs, styling by me.
